I recently bought a 2026 Tacoma SR5 from Toyota of Ashland with the help of a great salesperson. Scotty Johnson was awesome to work with! After a good conversation, and getting to know what I was looking for, he was a tremendous help with deciding to purchase a new Tacoma. Following our discussion, Mr. Johnson knew I did not want all the bells and whistles Toyota offers (to which they offer some great add ons, just do not need them) he understood and presented me with the truck I ended up purchasing after taking it for a test drive. Mr. Scotty J is a master of his craft and an excellent person to work with if you’re in the market for a new Toyota! Likewise, if you are a resident of Huntington, Barboursville, or any of the surrounding Tristate communities, don’t go to the dealership in Barboursville; they’ll tell you, your car’s engine is “waterproof.” They will also be very condescending to you and most likely not fix your vehicle. Go to Toyota of Ashland instead, they’re professionals!

Still waiting for my part to come in since Wednesday. I was told they would call Thursday for me to come in but still not heard anything.

The service repairs needed were estimated on my 2011 Toyota at $3700 to replace water pump, some tensioner pulleys and fan clutch. I took it in because of a noise I was hearing in that area. Truck has been serviced at Toyota its whole life in ms. I took it to a licensed mechanic and he found the water pump was the problem and repaired for $500. I was also made an insulting offer for my truck which has convinced me to buy different make of truck because with that offer even being kept in a new condition there is no resale value that I was told. This truck only has 131000 of highway miles on it and seat and carpet are like brand new. I will not be treated like I am ignorant or be taken advantage of because I am from out of town by a Toyota dealer again. No hard feelings because the truck has been great but I can’t stand for a greedy sales department to intentionally try to fabricate issues to take peoples hard earned money. I also have the work description of work Toyota told me it needed and will have it looked at by more licensed mechanics to see if they can find these same issues. I was also charged $90 for this very unpleasant experience.
